Certified. Verified. Trusted.
Every Aparra piece carries two forms of certification — BIS hallmarking for gold purity, and IGI or GIA certification for diamonds. Here's exactly what that means and how to verify it yourself.
BIS Hallmarking, Explained
BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) hallmarking is the Government of India's official gold purity certification. Every Aparra gold piece is hallmarked 18K (750 purity), meaning 75% pure gold content, verified by a BIS-registered assaying centre.
The hallmark includes the BIS mark, purity grade, assaying centre identification, and a unique HUID (Hallmark Unique Identification) number — the same six-digit alphanumeric code you can look up on the official BIS CARE app.
IGI & GIA, Explained
Every diamond above 0.30ct used in an Aparra piece is certified by IGI (International Gemological Institute) or GIA (Gemological Institute of America) — the two most widely trusted independent grading labs globally.
Your certificate reports the diamond's carat weight, cut, color, and clarity grade, along with a unique report number you can verify directly on the IGI or GIA website. A physical copy ships inside your Aparra box.
